DIY ice cream party - get tubs of vanilla, choclate, strawberry ice cream, a couple of marble cutting boards (keep in fridge till ready to use) , two/four palatte knives and tubs of spinkles, crumbled cookies, fruit, copped chocolate bars and let the children mix their own..would be great fun

Years ago, I contacted New Zealand Natural Ice Cream. They were only too happy to deliver prepacked individual servings to my party according to flavours I had chosen. If my party had been bigger, I would have engaged their other catering option -- an actual stall with someone serving the ice cream.
No Gelato recommendations as you have requested, but this ice cream was pretty nice and there were lots of flavours available for final selection

Thanks for all the suggestions although it was a tad too late, haha! But I appreaciate it a lot. At least I know where to go next time. Since I couldn't find any supplier at that time, I bought different flavors of ice cream and different kinds of toppings. DIY for everyone. Kids enjoyed it!
