007- Licenced to... drive?

When you move to a new country, how long may you drive on your existing licence? Can you ex change it for one issued by the host country? Where do you go? How do you do this?

If you have a valid licence then, depending on certain circumstances, you may drive on your "foreign" licence for up to one year before you need to get a local one. But before being issued with your Singapore licence, you'll need to apply for - and pass - a basic driving theory test to qualify for the licence conversion!

And what happens if you've never had a licence but decide now is the time? Well, then you need to take the driving test from scratch.
