Education and schooling aren't just for youngsters; you need never stop learning. When it comes to language, a second - or even third or fourth - language can add quality to communication, particularly when living in this melting pot of cultures and nationalities.

The spoken word

There are many ways to learn a new language as a adult: total immersion, group or individual lessons at a language school, or private lessons at your home or workplace. And then you have the choice of "distance learning", working one-on-one with your teacher by telephone and e-mail – very convenient if you are on the move and unable to attend regular classes.

AngloINFO provides a number of resources to help you to learn a language:
First, there are listings of Language Schools & Tuition in The AngloFILE, AngloINFO's directory of businesses and organisations in the region.

If you're keen to teach yourself, you'll find a selection of language guides and dictionaries in the Bookshop. These can be bought online through Amazon.co.uk.

And if you're stuck in a situation where the documents you have are not in the language you need them to be, or there's a language barrier between you and your clients or visitors, see The AngloFILE category Translators & Interpreters
