Spring Fever!

Last Friday, March 21, marked the traditional start of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. March is also the time when the clocks go forward by one hour in the countries  worldwide that practice daylight savings (Singapore, of course, is not one of them).

Time and tide

In Europe, Daylight Savings Time (DST) comes into effect and moves to summer time on the last Sunday in March - that's this Sunday. In the US and Canada, the clocks went forward on the second Sunday in March; the date moved forward from late March in 2007 as an energy-saving measure.

The AngloINFO Weather page gives you a seven day forecast. You can find out what's on the way:

  • The temperature and how the temperature actually feels (taking into account elements such as wind-chill and humidity)
  • Whether it's going to be sunny, cloudy, raining, foggy...
  • The UV index, dew point, humidity, wind-speed and direction, air pressure and visibility
  • And if you want to see the weather that's on the way click here for a satellite image.
