Monday 24th March 2008Spring Fever!Last Friday, March 21, marked the traditional start of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. March is also the time when
the clocks go forward by one hour in the countries worldwide that
practice daylight savings (Singapore, of course, is not one of
them). Time and tideIn Europe, Daylight Savings Time (DST) comes into effect and moves to summer time on the last Sunday in March - that's this Sunday. In the US and Canada, the clocks went forward on the second Sunday in March; the date moved forward from late March in 2007 as an energy-saving measure.
