Relocation, Relocation

People move to Singapore for a variety of reasons - job relocation or a partner's work, retirement, or even romance - and many intend to stay. However a work contract may come to an end or personal circumstances change and you find it's time to move on to somewhere new, or "back home".

packing up

Just as there are a number of procedures to follow on arrival in a new town or country, there are almost as many to take care of when you leave.

  • See the AngloINFO INFOrmation Page on Moving To, In & Leaving Singapore for some useful reminders of things that must be done, such as cancelling telephone and electricity contracts, leaving a school and ending a property lease

You'll probably need a removals firm too. Have a look at the Movers, Removals & Relocation Companies category of The AngloFILE, AngloINFO's directory of local businesses and services.

And you're bound to have many bits and pieces you no longer need. You can sell them - or give them away - by advertising them in the AngloINFO Classifieds. Or, for extra impact and the chance to include pictures, you can advertise things for sale with a Commercial Classified advertisement.
